4th Game Added to My Closet

apologize for the delay in writing a post about the 4th game that was added to my closet.

I would like to present Leading Edge's Aliens and the models that I've collected in relation to this game.

After I started collecting the different expansions for the game Zombies!!, I found the minis for the Aliens game on eBay. I started to think about how I could combine these games together and make a really epic gaming environment. I wrote rules for the game called it Aliens Vs Predator vs Zombies!!!

The Aliens game came with fantastic metal miniatures.

The complete marine unit with Ripley and Newt.

I have a second set of marines that I want to paint desert fatigues.

Colony members who were snatched and 'cocoonified' by the aliens. There are three desert fatigue marines in this container as well.

Different alien poses, face huggers and eggs.

Power loader and the Queen alien.

Of course I needed Predators to kill everything from humans to aliens to zombies. I found these random models online and gave them a quick paint job.

All of these models and this game were hard to track down.  These are my second favorite gaming pieces that I own.  HeroQuest will always be ranked number 1 in my gaming closet.   I've only been able to play Aliens vs Predator vs ZOMBIES once. My wife says it's too complicated for her. Oh well.  Maybe when my kids are older I can con them into trying it out.

HeroQuest the Series: A new cast member is born!

Good afternoon!  Over the weekend a new HeroQuest the Series cast member was born. He is the Green Wizard! The Green Wizard is an ancient figure who has helped to keep Zargon contained in the dungeons of HeroQuest. He is about to transition into a new spiritual form. Before he does so, Orzan the Enchanter needs to reach the ancient temple to inherit the Dimensional Relic Staff!  Orzan will need to use this staff to banish Zargon into Oblivion.

Here is a link to meet the other cast members of the series:

HeroQuest the the cast!

My first night of filming the HeroQuest series is complete. The good news is my ideas seem to be possible. This will be a fun series to produce. I would like to introduce the cast of characters.

The host and narrator of the show 'Thildrelel'.

First up, our four heroes:

Drel the Discreet is an elf with magical powers. He is deadly with his short sword and cunning when evading monsters.

Orzan the Enchanter is the last of the good wizards. He is the rightful heir to the relic Staff of Dimensions that Zargon is trying to intercept.

Aa'ri the Smasher is a dwarf capable of crushing his enemies and disarming all traps. He also enjoys to eat, A-LOT!

Rartak the Wanderer is the strongest barbarian in the land. He is capable of conquering numerous monsters with a single blow.

And last but not least, Zargon, the dark sorcerer.  I do apologize! He's a little preoccupied with his Spirit Magic.

My first two Reaper minis

A good friend of mine asked if I would post photos of my favorite Reaper models as I sort through the boxes. These two caught my eye because they will be serving a purpose. They will both be playing leading rolls in my upcoming HeroQuest series.

Meet the host of the show:

And playing Zargon himself:

Now off to start filming. Stay tuned!

Next project

I've started production on my next film project.  This project is going to be an ongoing series with numerous episodes based on the HeroQuest gaming environment.  The HeroQuest series will start out with a series introduction/trailer and from that you will understand what to expect throughout this project.  Once the introduction is posted you can expect a new episode every few weeks.  My goal is to post an episode every other Friday.  However, my style of filmmaking can be very time consuming and overwhelming so there may be a few delays here and there.  I am hoping this series is entertaining to a wide audience and hopefully, HeroQuest will gain some additional fans.

I am currently finishing the bases of my 4 HeroQuest heroes, as well as painting a few new models I am adding to this series.  As the series progresses I will be painting/repainting the original models and you will see the visuals change (hopefully for the better) over time.  Most of these models were painted in 1992 when I first started with this hobby, so bear with me.  The main feature of the series will be my customized gaming board.  If you haven't yet read that blog post, please take a look: Custom HeroQuest Board

Please take a minute and subscribe to my YouTube channel (ADP's Gaming Closet)  and this Blog in order to be notified when each episode is posted. I am anticipating this series to contain over 30 episodes, so this may end up being a 2-year project.  I do plan on doing additional projects along with this series so lookout for additional unboxing, assembly and gaming videos.  The HeroQuest series has been an idea I've had for a long time now and seeing others enjoy my recent film work has encouraged me to turn this idea a reality. Thank you and stay tuned!
